PSEngine comes with six pre-made templates. Three for Stannp and three for Letterbot. These can be loaded, the text changed and then used as a letter to your client.
In order to get to the pre-made templates, you first need to go to any "mail" screen. Select the mail service you want to use (1), Stannp or Letterbot. And then click on Freehand editor (2).
Once you have loaded Freehand editor (2) then you are presented with a drop down menu, selecting the menu will allow you to choose one of the templates. While you can alter any of the templates here, you can only load the templates for the mail service you are using into the mail system.
Please note that due to text space available, Letterbot is limited to 60 characters per line and 32 lines in total. Stannp is limited to 95 characters per line and 32 lines in total.
Once you have loaded up a template, you can change the text freely. And you can also add wildcards. Wildcards allow PSEngine to insert data that it has gathered and place it straight into your letters dynamically. That way you can build your templates with the data you want, giving you endless flexibility.
Stannp and Letterbot have their own distinct wildcards. Stannp starting and ending with { } and Letterbot starting and ending with %COL[ ]%
This is to keep them distinct from one another. You must place the wildcards in the text exactly how you would write the data that would be written there as if it was written by hand. A full list of available wildcards can be found in Config > Letter Config. And can be found below. Blue wildcards are for Stannp and Green are for Letterbot.
Once you have completed your template, click save and name your template. This way you can load and edit this in the future. If this is the template you wish to load, close the window and a prompt will appear. Click yes to load.
Once loaded, you will no longer be able to load a campaign made on Stannp or a page size for Letterbot. Should you want to reverse this, you will need to exit from the mail window.
Stannp templates are able to be previewed in the same was as if using a Stannp campaign from the website.
To change the background on your pre-made template, towards the bottom right is the Upload button. You can load any .PNG or .jpg background for an A4 page on Stannp. Or A4 & A5 Card for Letterbot. Templates are also available from our store on www.psengine.co.uk
